K98 Anti Tank Grenade 40 Rifle grenade ammo case

A rare German Grosse Gerwehr Panzergranate 40 kasten. This grenade was developed in 1941 to equip small infantry with anti tank weapons but the grenade was proved ineffective and was discontinued in 1942. The case has some inactive woodworm damage and the carrying strap came off but was luckilly kept with the case so can be reattached. Most of the writing is still visible as well as the original paint. The front says Heeres munition gesamtgewicht 13 kg. and on the sides Gr G Pzgr (Grosse Gerwehr Panzergranate)
