Germany, Kriegsmarine. An Officer Brocade Dress Belt
A circular belt buckle constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse centre bears a fouled anchor on a horizontally ribbed background encompassed by a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, the reverse is plain and is affixed with a metal keeper and a metal hook, measuring 61 mm, on a dress belt constructed of a ribbed silver/aluminum tresse and backed with navy cloth, ton the left side a metal keeper is sewn into place for the buckle to hook to, beside that is a loop constructed of the same silver/aluminum tresse. The back of the buckle is marked with initials.
